Oh what a jolly old month June has been filled with bursts of sunshine, travel, lots of alfresco drinks and fun meetings. Here is my round up of what I have been up to.
Travel
June saw me travel to the Jura Massif region in France, where I immersed myself in all things Comté Cheese for two full days, as well as met some rather gorgeous cows. You can read about my experience here.
I also visited Sir Richard Branson’s ultra luxury Lodge in Verbier, nestled amongst the Swiss Alps. Look out for that review soon!
The nautical lover in me had so much fun exploring the Independence of the Seas, a massive ship which is part of the Royal Caribbean fleet. More on the blog soon!
Wining and Dining
I experienced a Michelin Starred Supper Club at Alyn Williams at The Westbury, a luxury hotel in Mayfair, paired with English Nyetimber wines, which you can read more about here.
I did lots of research and collated my favourite alfresco drinking dens in to this handy guide – 10 fabulous places to have drinks in London this summer.
I adore Afternoon Tea, and I caught up with Geeta from the blog Yellow Shoes Orange Umbrella over a really fun Tea Total Afternoon Tea at The Perception Bar, W London. Read all about it here.
A catch up with blogger friends Angie and Emma was also long overdue and we decided to do it in style at French Riviera themed L’Azur at the Four Seasons Hotel at London Park Lane. You can have a nosy here.
Meetings with Julian from Chefs Signature took place in the bright sunshine at the Gardening Society, a rooftop on John Lewis, Oxford Street, as well as the Plymouth Gin Terrace at The Langham London.
Emma and I headed to Southampton for a little bit of a stay-cay and pretty much spent 80% of the trip having cocktails at The Pig Hotel, which I highly recommend!
Desk snacks in between were fuelled by Lotus Bites, of which my favourite was the Turmeric flavour. Perfect paired with cider as well, and an ideal picnic basket treat! You can find out more here.
Press and exciting news
It was Endangered Species Day and I got my article on the slow extinction of Giraffes published in Born Free USA’s Animal Issues Digest, which was a massive deal for me as I really want to use my voice to raise all these issues that I am so passionate about.
This month I also got a cheeky mention in the National Geographic Travel magazine, which made me really happy, especially as it was for Pegasus Suites where I stayed in Santorini.
I also found out that I am shortlisted for the Post Office Travel and Food Blogger of the year!
I have written a post on what I would do for my trip of a lifetime, and would really appreciate if you could read it, and if you enjoy it, could vote for me. The voting period is between July 4th-17th (midnight).
Here is my post: Retracing my ancestral roots back to India – my bucket list trip of a lifetime

That’s all for June. Keep an eye out for exciting content coming your way in July! xx
