10 Fabulous places to have drinks in London this summer

I really adore London in the Summer months. As soon as there is a glimpse of sunshine, everyone is so happy and want to be outside eating and drinking alfresco making the most of the good weather! I’ve rounded up my favourite London’s drinking spots for this summer, to soak up the rays with a tipple in hand, as well as some of the city’s prettiest spots, adorned with flowers and other quirky ornaments such as flamingos.

1.Aqua Nueva, Soho

Just steps away from Oxford Circus tube station, aqua nueva offers a glorious colourful rooftop terrace  this summer in collaboration with Veuve Clicquot Champagne. It is decked out with papel picado (colourful traditional Spanish festival flags), summer flowers and colour-inspired cocktails. A great place to retreat for a drink after shopping or to spend a lovely evening.

5th Floor, 240 Regent Street (entrance 30 Argyll Street) W1B 3BR; aquanueva.co.uk / aquakyoto.co.uk

2.The Secret Herb Garden at The Terrace, The Royal Horseguards hotel

This hidden gem at the Royal Horseguards Hotel is the perfect alfresco spot for barbeques, wood fired pizzas and cocktails. The gin ones are particularly good! Quieter than most other gardens, and has a peaceful vibe.

Address: 2 Whitehall Ct, Westminster, London SW1A 2EJ

3.Sassy Cidre Pop-Up at St Pancras Renaissance Hotel

With the most stunning floral aesthetics and a gorgeous al fresco vibe, the Sassy Cidre Pop Up at St Pancras Renaissance Hotel is fabulous! The Cider cocktails are absolutely delicious and the outdoor seating area is super cute!

Each month they will pair the Cider with a different alcohol brand and the line up is Suze & Lillet (Pernod Ricard) in June, followed by St Germain in July and Belvedere in August.

I also love the bar inside the hotel, and the Mojitos are excellent.

Address: Euston Rd, Kings Cross, London NW1 2AR

4.Sanderson’s Laurent-Perrier Cuvée Rosé Garden

I love the quirky courtyard at The Sanderson Hotel and this year they have partnered with Laurent Perrier to create the Sanderson’s Laurent-Perrier Cuvée Rosé Garden complete with pink flamingos across the courtyard.

Address: 50 Berners St, Fitzrovia, London W1T 3NG

5. Rooftop, Trafalgar St James

One of my favourite spots for its incredible views of London’s landmarks and such a great place to spend time in the sun on a fine day.

Address: 7th Floor, 2 Spring Gardens, London SW1A 2TS

6.Madison Rooftop Terrace

Another fabulous rooftop terrace bar to enjoy a tipple or bubbles with fantastic views of St Paul’s Cathedral. It is best on weekdays as its not as busy as the weekend, and I find afternoons are a particularly good time to visit.

Address: Rooftop Terrace One, New Change, London EC4M 9AF

7.Four Seasons London at Park Lane – L’Azur

One of my favourite London hotels and every summer and winter they convert the outdoor space into a delectable venue.

All year round, weather permitting, I love catching up with my friends here for some cocktails, but this summer there is even more reason to visit – they have converted the space so you  get a taste of the French Riviera without getting on a plane! They have collaborated with Belvedere Vodka and Dom Pérignon, and created L’Azur, an exclusive yacht-themed hideout – perfect for a luxurious day out.

L’Azur is open from 2:00 pm to 11:00 pm, 7 days a week.

Address: Hamilton Pl, Park Ln, Mayfair, London W1J 7DR

8.Bar 31 at Shangri-La at The Shard

The perfect place to stop off after work or to avoid the crowds of tourists, to enjoy some lovely drinks and food! Conveniently located steps away from the tube station, it is a great place to catch up with friends too. The fact that it happens to be located in my favourite building in London is also a major plus!

Address: 31 St Thomas St, London SE1 9QU

9. Hyatt Regency London – The Churchill’s Nautical Summer Terrace

At The Churchill Bar and Terrace, you can take a voyage through the Adriatic and Mediterranean Seas and enjoy colourful delicious cocktails as well as food in a superb setting. One of the hidden gems in the area and a quiet sanctuary away from the madness that is Oxford Street and Marble Arch.

Address: Hyatt Regency London – The Churchill, 30 Portman Square, Marylebone, London W1H 7BH

10. Claridges

During the summer, Claridges, one of the most elegant and classy hotels in London, has a lovely outside terrace area adjacent to their quintessential Claridges Bar, perfect to enjoy a glass of champagne in its tranquil and gorgeous surroundings. The indoor space is absolutely stunning too, but seeing as London is blessed with amazing weather lately, it is such a treat to be able to sit outside.

Address:Brook Street, Mayfair, London W1K 4HR

I feel like I havent seen any of London after looking at this list. I need to start working through this list. Does Trafalgar Square have a limit? I know some rooftops need you to have a minimum spend (Radio). We sure have had good weather to enjoy all the rooftops you have x
