Perched on the stunning shores of Natadola Bay, the InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa is a perfect blend of luxury and authentic Fijian charm and one of the most stunning resorts I have stayed in.
When we were researching where to stay in Fiji, it was our first choice based on some YouTube videos that I watched and it truly exceeded our expectations upon arrival. I loved how much gorgeous greenery there was all around the resort.
It was recently crowned Fijian Hotel of the Year at the 2024 HM Awards and it’s no surprise to me as it really does have world-class amenities, breathtaking views, and exceptional island hospitality.

Arrival and First Impressions
Upon arrival, guests are greeted with the warm “Bula” spirit that Fiji is famous for and presented with a seashell necklace to wear.
The open-air lobby, decorated with traditional Fijian décor, boasts breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean, instantly setting the tone for a peaceful stay. The check-in process is seamless, with staff offering a refreshing welcome drink and a cool towel, helping to usher you into holiday mode.
We arrived around 7 am, and what made our arrival even more special was being able to enjoy breakfast while our room was being prepared. By the time we had finished, our room was ready, allowing us to freshen up and spend the rest of the day exploring the resort’s beautiful grounds and relaxing.
Accommodation
The resort offers a variety of accommodations spread across the property, from Garden View rooms nestled in lush greenery, to Beachfront Suites right on the ocean, and the exclusive Club InterContinental One Bedroom Pool Suites.
We stayed in a Beachfront View King room, which featured a spacious layout with plush bedding and a private terrace complete with a cosy daybed and a Cleopatra-style outdoor bathtub—ideal for unwinding amidst the lush surroundings.
The bathroom was a highlight, with a massive slab of black marble for the double vanity, while the toilet and shower were separated by privacy doors. The Pure Fiji toiletries were luxurious, with shampoo, conditioner, moisturiser, and a heavenly bath soak in White Gingerlily scent. The room also supplied an amenity kit and bottles of Fiji water.
Our room’s location was fantastic—just a short walk from the adult pool and the beach!
Dining Options
Sanasana Restaurant: This all-day dining venue offers a lavish buffet breakfast featuring a wide selection of international and local dishes. Themed buffet dinners also provide a culinary journey through both Fijian and international cuisines.
One evening, they had a special themed menu featuring Pav Bhaji, which was a delightful surprise and absolutely delicious! The Indian food available in Fiji is wonderful due to its generations of Indians living on the island. A history I can relate to, having been born and brought up on the island of Mombasa.
Navo Specialty Dining: For a more upscale dining experience, Navo serves contemporary cuisine with a focus on fresh seafood. The restaurant features a glass-walled show kitchen, where guests can watch the culinary team in action. Navo also offers an à la carte breakfast menu, with a focus on hot pre-ordered dishes and a selection of continental options.
Toba Bar & Grill: Located near the main pool, Toba offers a relaxed atmosphere with wood-fired pizzas, grilled seafood, and refreshing cocktails. It’s the perfect spot for a casual lunch or sunset dinner. This was my favourite spot, with fantastic food and cocktails as the views of the pool and ocean were unbeatable!
Karma Lounge: This relaxed cocktail and tapas lounge has a cosy, laid-back vibe. With a small selection of bar snacks and scheduled entertainment, it’s a wonderful place to unwind.
The sunsets here are spectacular, making it the ideal location to enjoy a sundowner cocktail.
