If you are travelling to New York, here are the best dining and drinking spots to add to your hit list, which we covered over 5 days!
Where to Brunch – abcV
Lunch with a pretty view of Central Park – The Loeb Boathouse
Find it:Park Drive North, E 72nd St, New York, NY 10021, United States
A ’50s-themed diner – Ellen’s Stardust
The best Pizza in Brooklyn – Grimaldi’s
The original, historic Grimaldi’s location under the Brooklyn Bridge is a must visit, though I recommend getting there early as the queues are insane!
The pizzas, cooked in a coal-fired brick oven, have a unique smoky flavour and are incredibly moreish.

For something quirky – Beauty & Essex
Fine Dining Indian Food at Junoon
Inventive Indian cuisine in an elegant space with ornate accents. The mains were heavenly and we really enjoyed our meal. I am fussy when it comes to Indian food and this ticked all the boxes for me.
Find it: 27 W 24th St, New York, NY 10010, USA
THE Rooftop bar to add to your list – The Fleur Room at Moxy Chelsea
So good we went twice! They have fantastic cocktails, brilliant decor, insane views and amazing music, and you’ll find yourself dancing away until 4am! Highly recommend!
Find it: 105 W 28th St, New York, NY 10001, USA
Try the original Bloody Mary at St Regis New York
Did you know that the Bloody Mary as we know it today was invented in in 1934 by the bartender at The St. Regis New York’s King Cole Bar, Fernand Petiot? He perfected the recipe for a vodka-and-tomato juice cocktail which he named the Bloody Mary but as the name was rather racy for the hotels’ clientele it was renamed as the Red Snapper.
Find it:Two East 55th Street At, 5th Ave, New York, NY 10022, United States
Snazzy drinks at PUBLIC New York
For sensational cocktails in a gorgeous bar head to PUBLIC New York, which also has a rooftop bar adjacent to the hotel.

So glad you liked abcV! My sister-in-law used to work there and helped the head chef revise the dosas!

Great list of places! And I’ve only been to 1 which means I’ve got lots to add to the list for the next time I go!
Aww lovely recommendations, I must say I enjoy all these spots and NYC has a incredible selection of foodie options!
We loved Loeb Boathouse – we even saw someone propose there! Beauty and Essex was great too but I’d definitely add The Fleur room to my list. Plus a unicorn / fish soft serve.
A good quick guide to some amazing places. I really ought to book a trip to New York soon
