Palma, the capital city of Mallorca, has an amazing gastronomical scene, and here are some places to add to your dining list whilst visiting Palma.
For my ‘Top 10 Things to do in Palma,” read my post here.
Mercat 1930
When in Spain tapas is a must and Mercat 1930, which is a gastronomic food market with 13 stalls each serving up the most delicious food, is a real treat. From Paella to Pamboli with Serrano ham, it is a food lover’s heaven, and you can try a vast variety of dishes. It is a great social place with a buzzing atmosphere, and the perfect way to sample all the fantastic Spanish dishes.

Aromata
Aromata was one of my favourite restaurants in Palma. With pretty interiors, and a lovely ambience, the cuisine is referred to as “the essence of Mallorca” by Michelin Starred Chef Andreu Genestra. You can find traditional and authentic Mallorcan flavours here.

Mar Blau bistro at Valparaiso Palace hotel
Dining at Mar Blau bistro at Valpataiso Palace Hotel is a must and I recommend going for lunch. The restaurant has gorgeous views and the food is incredible!
Sopas Mallorquinas is a hearty soup that we enjoyed at the restaurant, with bread, onion, garlic, tomatoes and a variety of vegetables and beans.
We also had homemade bread topped with ricotta, avocado and fresh tomatoes, as well as the moreish Parmesan buñuelos, which were divine!
The icing on the cake was the Cardenal dessert, which is a cream-based dessert with layers of baked meringue. Heavenly!

Equus at Summum Prime Boutique Hotel
Equus restaurant has a stable theme running through as it used to be a stable. We had a fantastic evening here, with some fantastic food, and it has a great atmosphere. The service is brilliant and the hotel it is housed in is gorgeous – a 5 star luxury boutique.
Location: Carrer de la Concepció, 26, 07012 Palma, Illes Balears, Spain
Cuit Bar and Restaurant, Nakar Hotel
Located on the 8th floor of the Nakar Hotel with enviable views of the city, the CUIT Bar and Restaurant offers amazing food, created by well renowned mallorcan chef and local TV star, Miquel Calent.
From the rooftop you can see the historic centre, the Cathedral, Bellver Castle and the beautiful bay of Palma.
The food was creative, inventive whilst retaining traditional mallorcan ingredients. A must try!
Location: Av. de Jaume III, 21, 07012 Palma, Illes Balears, Spain
Tast Club
Tast Club is a Tapas restaurant and wine club, and a must visit when in Palma! The food is delicious, the choice of wines are amazing and the restaurant itself is absolutely gorgeous – it is brimming with romance and so the perfect place to impress a date or have a romantic meal. It is also hidden away and so a real gem to find!
