One positive of the pandemic has been the emergence of excellent at home dining offerings, which contain all the ingredients for a fabulous meal that are pre-prepared and require different levels of assembly – from simply plating to those that require a little bit of cooking or reheating.
One I tried recently was absolutely outstanding and that was Green Haus available on Home-X. It is worth checking out the Home-X website every month as the offerings change and so there is always something new and exciting to try from the different brands featured from Green Haus, Home by Nico to the Stem Wine Club and much more.
What is Home-X?
HOME-X, is an epic platform from the team behind the Six by Nico restaurants that brings restaurant quality food & drink experiences to homes all across the UK.

The Green Haus offering is fully vegan and you get sent 8 sharing courses and a full bottle of Vegan wine for £55, which I think is excellent value! It was perfect for Veganuary.
It arrived intact and the packaging itself was absolutely stunning.
I loved the fact that there was a Menu card included so you could set your table restaurant style and have a Menu for the perfect date night!
The packaging of each dish was really aesthetically pleasing and also mostly recyclable, which was a big win win for me.
So what did we eat?
Well it was a truly Global affair from Korea to Goa spread into 8 decadent perfectly portioned dishes, each brimming with exotic aromas and zingy flavours.
Dish 1 was Korean Gochujang Carrots with Edamame Beans, Hot & Sour Kimchi Cabbage and a Sesame & Ginger Dressing. This was ready to eat so just simply needed to be plated.
Dish 2 was Levantine Muhammara with Butterbean, Walnut & Basil Salad and accompanied with a Focaccia Bread to mop it all up with. This too required no preparation aside from plating and was dreamy!
Dish 3 was a fiery but flavoursome Chipotle Five Bean Estofado with Tomato, Roasted Scallion, Mint, Coriander & Lime Pistou.
Dish 4 was Sweet Piquillo Pepper Tabbouleh with Toasted Farro, Olive Oil, Fennel & Lemon. This was Amit’s favourite from them all.
Dish 5 was Cantonese Vegetable Huo Fun with Rice noodle, Beansprout, Ginger & Soy, which was my favourite.
Dish 6 was Goan Xacuti Masala, Smoked Potato, Spinach, Snow Pea & Kashmiri Chilli and Coconut Chutney which was sublime!
Dish 7, the last of the savouries, was Salted Crispy Tofu with Fennel & Pineapple Salad, Szechuan Peppercorn & Tokyo Turnip.
And finally, Dish 8 was Pumpkin & Orange Cake with Coconut Frosting, Blueberry & Tahitian Vanilla. The perfect sweet ending to a gorgeous meal.
Here it is all laid out together in all its glory!
I would give this a solid 10/10 – the food was restaurant quality, took 15 minutes from box to table, and the variety of flavours and textures really took us on a culinary journey and for that brief moment in time we got lost in a little cloud of happiness and forgot that we were in the middle of a pandemic. Such a lovely experience!
The price point is really reasonable and this meal actually lasted us for two meals between two of us and even if we had devoured it all in one go, it was excellent value!
