Cocktails and Live Music at The Hansom, St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel

As the nights get darker and colder there is nothing better than cosying up at a Hotel bar with cocktails, delicious food and listening to live music! The Hansom, at St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel, is such a gorgeous venue for this. They have live music from 5pm on Thursdays and Fridays and as it’s so centrally located, it’s the perfect spot for either pre-dinner or post-dinner drinks.

We headed there on a Friday night for some cocktails and absolutely loved the atmosphere. I’ve been to The Hansom various times for Afternoon Tea and coffee during the day but at night its got such a great ambience too. If you prefer wines or beer they have an impressive selection to choose from too.

The first cocktail that I tried was St Pancras Sorbet, a blend of Sweet Vermouth, Clementine Sorbet and topped with Veuve Cliquot. It was as dreamy as it sounds! I would definitely recommend trying it, and I loved the theatrical serving of it too. Was such a treat!

Amit opted for the Spiced Old Fashioned, which he really enjoyed. I loved the lemon garnish on the rim of the glass!

We also tried the Sloe Gin Fizz which was made with Plymouth Sloe Gin (which I love), Lemon, Sugar,Egg White and Soda. This was a really refreshing drink and really easy to drink.

Whilst we sipped our cocktails we indulged in some snacks, namely the Truffle & Parmesan Skin-on Fries with Aioli, which were sublime, and the Shropshire Blue Cheese Toastie which I am dreaming about even now!

The Shropshire Blue Cheese Toasties were just divine, so good that we ordered more! If you are heading to The Hansom for cocktails definitely order these to munch on and order plenty of portions to share!

The Live music was fantastic, some classic tunes as well as some newer ones and the musicians were so talented. We found our heads bobbing away to the melodies.

If you are looking for something lovely to do for  date night or even a lovely bar to catch up with your friends at over cocktails, I highly recommend The Hansom. It’s conveniently located and such a stunning venue.
