5 Must-Do’s on Your First Trip to Walt Disney World Florida!

If you are planning to visit Walt Disney World in Florida next year, here are 5 of my ‘must do’s’ for your trip! I hope you have the most incredible time planning the trip as much as on it as it is definitely a holiday of lifetime! I will never forget my first trip.

Whether you’re looking for beloved Disney Characters, thrilling attractions, splashing good water parks or even a relaxing beach or two, Walt Disney World Florida has it all. Be sure to snap up your Disneyworld tickets well in advance!

Meet the characters

One of the best parts of going to Disney World is getting to meet all your favourite characters. From Minnie and Mickey to your favourite princess, there are lots of ways to get a hug. Don’t forget your autograph book! I recommend getting an official Walt Disney World Autograph Book as it will be the perfect keepsake memory from your trip.

Be sure to check the schedule out and maps and plan accordingly as there will be several meet n’ greets throughout the parks. Try and meet as many of your much loved characters as possible!

My favourite memory was meeting Goofy!

Indulge in Mickey themed food

As you get around the parks be sure to try all the snacks modelled after the world’s most-famous mouse!

From burgers to waffles, there is something for everyone to try!

Get the button

Make sure you stop by Guest Relations in any of the parks or at the front desk of your Disney resort to get your free official First Visit Button! It’s free

There are also other celebration buttons available too.
The night show

Be sure to stay at the parks for the Main Street Electrical Parade, quite possibly my favourite thing about the Magic Kingdom. I’d recommend trying to get a good spot to watch it from at least an hour in advance. The best place to see the show is along the main street.

Watch the fireworks

At the end of a fun day in the parks, there’s nothing better than watching a spectacular fireworks show. It’s truly the perfect magical end to a day in Disney World!

Have you been to Walt Disney World? What ‘must-do’s’ would you add to this list?

About Binny

Hi, I'm Binny - a writer, dreamer and serial wanderluster with a love for Wildlife Conservation. I am originally from Kenya but I now live in London. 'Karibu' to Binny's Food and Travel! I regularly share my experiences eating out, cooking and travelling, both in the UK and globally, as well as educate on the plight of Wildlife. I am an ambassador for World Animal Protection and regularly support the work of The Born Free Foundation, Four Paws and Dreams Come True Charity. I love packing my bags and going off on adventures as one of the best things about travelling is the ability to just get lost in it. To set aside the maps and itineraries and just see where the road takes you, learning and evolving and living in the moment along the way. It's my goal to get swept off my feet as often as possible!
