Perfect as a snack and quick to make is my Paneer Popcorn. I hope you enjoy making them and indulging in them 😉

- 350 grams paneer (cottage cheese) cut into cubes
- 1/4 tsp turmeric / haldi
- 1/2 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder
- 1 tablespoon ginger garlic paste
- 1 tsp pepper, crushed
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1/4 cup corn flour
- 1/4 tsp pepper, crushed
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup water
Oil for deep frying
1 cup of breadcrumbs
In a large mixing bowl add your cubes of paneer, ginger & garlic paste, turmeric, chilli powder, pepper, cumin powder, 1/4 corn flour, 1/4 teaspoon pepper and 1/2 teaspoon salt and add 1/4 cup water to make a batter. Add more water if required.
Mix everything well making sure that the paneer is coated well with all the spices.
In a separate bowl place the cup of breadcrumbs and take each cube of marinated paneer and roll into the breadcrumbs making sure to coat it on all sides.
Now deep fry in batches in hot oil until the paneer turns golden brown and crisp.
Serve with a cooling dip. My favourite is to blend 1/2 cup yoghurt with 1 tablespoon grated cucumber, handful of chopped coriander, 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder and 1/4 teaspoon salt.
