How to enjoy Easter at home – 6 fun ideas from Easter Egg Hunts, recipes and more!

Celebrate Easter this year with these fun and creative Easter ideas varying from indulging in Chocolate Easter Eggs to competitive indoor Egg hunts to make it as special as you can for you and your family this year whilst staying safe at home and in isolation. It will surely be an Easter to remember and look back on fondly!

Indulge in Easter Eggs

One of the main highlights of Easter is the Easter Egg, especially of the Chocolate kind, and you should indulge in a tasty Easter egg this year or gift one, as the custom of giving eggs at Easter celebrates new life! They are perfect to indulge on at any time of the day and the perfect treat to cheer you up too!

Easter Egg Hunts

Why not organise a fun Easter Egg hunt, both indoor or outdoor, if you happen to have a garden or space outside! Make it interactive with a trail of clues or puzzles to solve for everyone to get involved in the fun and as quirky as possible!

Be sure to take lots of photos to make it an Easter Egg hunt to remember for years to come!

Easter recipes

Easter is a great excuse for a proper feast and alongside Easter Eggs, why not theme as much of your food as you can! My favourite, especially for the healthy element, is to make bunnies from freshly chopped fruit but you can get creative with whatever ingredients you happen to have at home!

Easter Egg decorating

Challenge the family to an Easter Egg decorating competition! Use paint, or anything else fun you have at home from shaving foam, nail polish to even making natural colours from produce such as red/pink from beetroot!

Alternatively, if you don’t have eggs at home, draw and colour in pictures of eggs in on large sheets of paper and stick them on your windows as decor or for other children in the neighbourhood to discover if they have gone for a walk!

Have an egg and spoon race

If you’ve got an outdoor space an egg and spoon race is great fun whatever the age! It will be sure to get competitive and there will be lots of giggles! Make it more fun by forming teams and having weird and wonderful objects to balance alongside your eggs too!

Stay social

Be sure to have a video chat or Skype scheduled in with family or friends who are celebrating from afar so you can catch up on how you’ve all been celebrating and show them what you’ve been eating or making at home! A fun idea may be to even have a virtual egg decorating competition or to eat one of your meals virtually together!
