My 5 Favourite experiences at Walt Disney World Orlando

Walt Disney World Orlando is the perfect place for a little escapism, especially if you are a Disney fan like me! Everyone has their favourite childhood or even adult memories of Disney and when things in the world seem bleak Disney is the perfect uplifting place to escape to, even if virtually for now, to help provide inspiration to plan for a future trip!

In Orlando, Walt Disney World is one of the top tourist attractions and it has four distinct theme parks as well as lots of hotels, restaurants and shops on site so there is lots to see, do and indulge in, no matter your age! The four parks are Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Epcot, Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom.

When you do plan your trip, be sure to get your Disney tickets well in advance to ensure you don’t miss out on anything! There are even combo tickets available for Universal Studios.

Here are my personal favourite experiences! I would love to know what yours are in the comments!

Meeting the Disney Princesses

Meeting the Cast Members
The Cast Members make each experience that much more memorable and add to that magical experience. My all time favourite character is Goofy and I was so excited when I got to meet him!
I was also thrilled to meet my second favourite character Daisy Duck too!
Let me know who your favourite character is!
The Parade
Magic Kingdom fireworks are probably my favourite nighttime show at Walt Disney World and often just before they begin or right after, there’s a castle projection show called Once Upon a Time that’s definitely worth seeing too!
Spend a day at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

At Animal Kingdom an emblematic Tree of Life sits in the centre of a lagoon, as lands including Africa, Asia, Discovery Island, Pandora – The World of Avatar, and DinoLand U.S.A. surround it in a loop.

There are fun rides as well as the option to go on a safari!

All the Disney themed food!

Walt Disney World is a food lover’s dream! There are so many incredible options from sweet to savoury and some of my favourites are Mickey Mouse Waffles, Caramel Apples, the Mickey Mouse Cheeseburger and unmissable is the Cheshire Café in Magic Kingdom’s Fantasyland for a chocolate croissant-like pastry topped with pink and purple icing. Make sure that is on your list!
What are your favourite things to eat when at Walt Disney World?

About Binny

Hi, I'm Binny - a writer, dreamer and serial wanderluster with a love for Wildlife Conservation. I am originally from Kenya but I now live in London. 'Karibu' to Binny's Food and Travel! I regularly share my experiences eating out, cooking and travelling, both in the UK and globally, as well as educate on the plight of Wildlife. I am an ambassador for World Animal Protection and regularly support the work of The Born Free Foundation, Four Paws and Dreams Come True Charity. I love packing my bags and going off on adventures as one of the best things about travelling is the ability to just get lost in it. To set aside the maps and itineraries and just see where the road takes you, learning and evolving and living in the moment along the way. It's my goal to get swept off my feet as often as possible!
