Lunch at 108 Brasserie, Marylebone

Tucked away on the cobbled streets of Marylebone Lane is 108 Brasserie, with fabulous al fresco seating as well as a stunning contemporary dining room complete with comfortable red leather seats and marble top tables. It has a lovely Parisian feel to it combined with the charming streets of Marylebone.

We gathered here for lunch and to spend time with our beloved Angie before she enters motherhood, and it was a bright sunny day and the whole restaurant was light and airy.

We started by nibbling on some delicious bread whilst we peered through the extensive menu to decide what we were going to choose. They are famous for their Guinness bread and so I recommend trying that.

For drinks, 3 of us opted for the cocktails of the month, The Yvenia, which was a refreshing blend of 108 Gin, Cointreau, lemon juice, rosemary & thyme syrup, Aperol and mint and peach liqueur.

For starters I devoured the Sweetcorn fritters with avocado, grilled halloumi, baby spinach and harissa, and it was so tasty!

A popular choice on our table was Tostadas with Guacamole, black bean, chilli and coriander.

Something I will definitely try next time will be the Burrata with seasonal tomatoes, pesto and seeded crackers, which was beautifully presented and the perfect Summer dish.

For mains upon recommendation, I had the Massaman tiger prawn curry with steamed Jasmine rice, which was so full of flavour and such a generous portion!

Other mains were the Superfood salad with halloumi, which was also a great portion.

The Crispy fingerling potatoes with sour cream were the talk of the table and cooked to perfection!

Always save room for dessert especially when they are beautiful as the Seasonal fruit with raspberry sorbet, which was stunning, and the Apricot & Amaretti tart with clotted cream.

The menu was fantastic with lots of options catering for different dietary requirements too. I will definitely be back to try some of the other dishes that intrigued me on the menu. They also have a fantastic selection of Gin and so I recommend trying one or more of their cocktails, as they are excellent.

Hi, I’m Binny – a writer, dreamer, serial wanderluster and travel addict. I am originally from Kenya but now live in London. I set up this blog to share my experiences eating out as well as travelling.

I love packing my bags and going off on adventures as one of the best things about travelling is the ability to just get lost in it. To set aside the maps and itineraries and just see where the road takes you, learning and evolving and living in the moment along the way.

It’s my goal to get swept off my feet as often as possible.
