Tequila Rose is a unique blend of strawberry and cream flavour liqueur combined with tequila, and a drink that I have enjoyed at parties and at home for over 15 years, as it is also available in Kenya.
I particularly love it as it brings back so many lovely memories for me. Enjoyed on its own over crushed ice is my favourite way to consume it, sometimes with a few pieces of fresh strawberry in it for some extra ooomph.
Not only is it a great drink to have readily stored in your drinks cupboard for spontaneous visits from friends, it also makes a wonderful gift when going for a dinner party or for Christmas!
Tequila Rose is incredibly versatile and so here are some alternative suggested ways in which you can serve Tequila Rose, if you are entertaining guests over the festive season, or just fancy having it at home in a different way.
Drizzled over vanilla ice cream or brownies for dessert
Tequila Rose makes a great alternative to sauce drizzled over vanilla ice cream or brownies, and adds a fruity twist.
In a milkshake
For an adult version of a milkshake, mix in a shot (or two) of Tequila Rose!
To flavour whipped cream
If you are serving fresh fruit and cream, or have a cake where you want to top it with fresh cream, why not whip some Tequila Rose into the cream for a strawberry flavour.
In a cocktail
Tequila Rose is perfect blended with other spirits to make a cocktail, or even mixers! Whether you serve it as a short or long drink, its baby pink shade is bound to make any cocktail look gorgeous!
In a coffee
Why not create a Tequila Rose Latte! Simply add 2 teaspoons of coffee, one teaspoon of sugar, pour hot water in and stir. Then add one shot of Tequila Rose and top with freshly whipped cream.
