Review: Pasta Evangelists

There is nothing quite as comforting as freshly made pasta after a long day and when you can have it delivered to your home and it is restaurant quality even better!

I recently tried Pasta Evangelists, a fabulous company that delivers artisanal pasta by post. In the package they supply you with everything you need, from the freshly made pasta to the sauces and garnishes. Everything you could possibly need for that perfect homemade meal. It is super easy to make (in minutes) and it tastes like a bowl of pasta you would be served up in a top restaurant!

Pasta Evangelists was established in 2017 by Italian pasta lover Alex Savelli, and they have been so successful that I just saw they are now available in Harrods Food Hall too!

How it works is that each week there are 6 new pasta dishes to choose from, typically priced from around £7 to £11. You can either place individual orders or start a subscription service. Your orders are then delivered by post, with up-to-the-minute tracking so you’ll know when your meal is arriving.

In case you’re not home to receive the parcel, their boxes are perfectly sized to fit through the letterbox, with a cooler inside to keep your meal fresh until you come home.

I received 2 complimentary meals to review. Paccheri Alla Norma with slow roasted aubergine and tomato sauce and ricotta salata and a tortellini.

Inside the box, they give you two recipe sheets, as well as the  menu of next week’s pasta, and the ingredients. Each dish is also colour coded so you know which ingredients are for which dish!

They were super easy to make and such a hearty meal too. I will definitely be trying more of the various types of Pasta that Pasta Evangelists have as well as popping in to Harrods to buy some fresh pasta.

I for one will never be buying shop bought pasta again!

If you are looking for a delicious alternative to a ready meal which is quick, wholesome and hearty as well as authentic, definitely give Pasta Evangelists a go! You can try a one off box or subscribe.
