My Top 6 Breakfast places in London

Whether you love breakfast or brunch, here are my 6 favourite places in London which are worth waking up early for in order to fuel your day and kick it off on the right note.

Waffles at Claridge's

For a treat, Claridges is top of my list. The setting, the gorgeous Foyer room, and the food absolutely divine. The waffle with mixed berries and Cornish clotted cream is worth a mention as it was incredible.

Alongside our delicious breakfasts, the Coffee was amazing. Not only was it re-filled much to my delight, it was so perfectly brewed! Having read more about it on the menu, intrigued by why it tasted so good, it transpired that their coffee selection has been carefully curated in partnership with Workshop Coffee, using beans from a number of producing origins, including Guatemala, El Salvador, Colombia, Costa Rica, Brazil, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Kenya and Burundi.

Aqua Shard

Aqua Shard was no doubt going to feature on my list and enjoying your breakfast with London’s stunning and spectacular views is an unbeatable experience and one of my absolute favourites. Definitely the right venue to start your day on a high note.

I do have a bit of a weakness for The Shard and it is my favourite London landmark and I never tire of the views there.

Aqua Shard is perfect not just for breakfast, but for lunch or Afternoon Tea or even cocktails. It is a must visit place and it has my favourite views of London.

Mandarin Oriental

Breakfast by Mandarin Oriental is a pricier choice but totally indulgent and the service is slick and seamless. This is a really impressive place to take a date or to celebrate a special occasion. The pancakes were an absolute dream.

The breakfast takes place in a gorgeous room that overlooks Hyde Park, and we were very happy to be seated by the window, which proved to be the perfect spot to people watch from.

The waiter brought over some freshly pressed blackberry juice for a healthy boost, which was a really lovely touch, whilst we made our choices from the menu. There are also separate Chinese and Japanese menus, which both also sound incredible. This is definitely a place worth getting out of bed early for and you will definitely not be disappointed.

Dalloway Terrace

Breakfast or brunch at London’s favourite Instagrammable spot is a must and the food is really lovely. The menu is extensive and so there is something to please absolutely everyone and the setting is gorgeous too.

Every season the flower facades have a new look and they have recently updated their look for Autumn and it looks beautiful!

The Rosewood London

The Baked eggs in the Mirror room at The Rosewood London are literally the best eggs I have had in London, served in an earthy pan and oozing with deliciousness. They are sublime. Breakfast in their gorgeous dining room is a fabulous experience and I would really recommend it.

Hide Restaurant (Ground)

This is such a gorgeous space and definitely has the most three story beautiful staircase in London, with 40 shades of wood used cleverly gradate from dark to light as the stairs ascend from the basement level.

Breakfast options are excellent and some really lovely dishes and flavour combinations. They even have a full coffee menu which is amazing.

On this occasion we road tested the Eggs Benedict and Eggs Royale, both of which were scrumptious!

What are your favourite breakfast spots in London? I’d love to know in the comments below. xx

  7. Those pancakes at MO look incredible, but I think I most want to have brekkie at The Shard – the views and a full English (maybe with a mimosa or two) sounds like heaven to me.
