Only the brave will dine – Chambers of Flavour V3

Only the brave will dine – Chambers of Flavour V3

Brief:  Arrive at a secret Overground Station and directions from here to the secret location will be texted to you at 4:30pm.

Dress code: A single colour with bright long socks.

Squad: Aubergine Emojis

Intrigued and armed with the most colourful long socks I could find, I, Private Binny, turned up at a secret Overground Station to meet my fellow dining partners for the evening, Private Sima and Private Priyam.

Following the instructions on how to get to the secret location, and after one wrong turn (all three of us being terrible at following directions), we finally made it to a secret alleyway, walked through a construction site, to ‘The Chamber of Flavours 3.’

This is where we were briefed on our mission for the evening by a Lieutenant whilst we enjoyed a welcome drink and pre-ordered our cocktails for the evening, that were really important as they would serve as our fuel whilst we went on an inter-dimensional dining mission inside the ‘Machine.’ The Machine is the brain child of flavourologist and inventor, Sir Lionel Stirling Grey, but that is all I will tell you about him.

I can’t reveal much else as there is a cloak of total secrecy around the evening. Our cameras and phones were safely stowed away in the cloakroom until we completed our mission. Despite frantically googling all about the mission before the date of my dining experience, I could find absolutely nothing – no spoilers and so I am going to maintain the same tact so that when you experience it for yourself (which if you haven’t you HAVE to), you love it as much as we did due to the element of surprise.

What I can tell you is that there are 5 different rooms with 5 courses of delicious food matched to every room, and there are themes, actors, and it is a dining experience like no other! This is the best immersive dining experience I have ever done and it is going to be really hard to beat this.

My advice is go in with an open mind and prepared to have lots of fun. There is LOTS of audience participation, theatrical performance, kooky happenings and absurdity and it really adds to the dining experience.

The Gingerline events are really popular and so make sure you snap up those tickets asap! Release dates are announced on their social media platforms and website so make sure you give them a follow!

Aside from that I am not going to reveal much more and let you unravel the mystery for yourself when you experience it, which I absolutely urge you to! Make sure you get the boldest craziest socks you can find as they are essential for your mission 😉

Hi, I’m Binny – a writer, dreamer, serial wanderluster and travel addict. I am originally from Kenya but now live in London. I set up this blog to share my experiences eating out as well as travelling.

I love packing my bags and going off on adventures as one of the best things about travelling is the ability to just get lost in it. To set aside the maps and itineraries and just see where the road takes you, learning and evolving and living in the moment along the way.

It’s my goal to get swept off my feet as often as possible.

This sounds so much fun! What an ingenious idea and I love the fact that the whole thing is kept a total secret to make it all that much more mysterious!
