Santorini Guide: Where to eat and drink

For a picturesque view

Whilst in Oia have lunch or cocktails with an incredible view at Terpsi in Oia bistro. The food was fabulous too! Find out more here.

Casual dining

Aegeon Restaurant in Immerogivli is such a lovely restaurant to have a laid back lunch or dinner with a view of the caldera. The service was good and the staff really friendly, and they had a lovely selection of wine.

Yalos is a restaurant I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Not only does it have the ultimate romantic atmosphere and ambience, the food is incredible, the service is fantastic and I had the best seafood here.  The food is presented beautifully and the wine list is fabulous. It is authentic Santorini cuisine and it is located on the closest beach to Fira, Exo Gialos. Our entire experience from start to end was superb. It is easier to get to if you have hired a car, but it is totally worth it!

Fine dining

For a special evening head to La Maison in Imerovigli for a spectacular gastronomical experience. In a beautiful al fresco style setting with a night time view of the Caldera, it promises to be a fabulous meal!

Slightly pricier but fantastic food, presented in style and with an array of Santorini ingredients used in inventive ways. Culinary heaven! It is open for lunch too but I preferred the ambience in the evening.

Sunset drinks

Sunsets in Santorini are pretty special and a lovely spot to have a sundowner and witness it is Pelekanos Restaurant and Bar in Oia. You can choose to eat on the terrace, but they also have a bar, and so we perched ourselves there and enjoyed the view with a chilled glass of white Santorini wine in hand!

Wine tasting with a view

One of my highlights was wine tasting  at Venetsanos Winery. I just couldn’t get over the amazing view of the caldera from the al fresco style seating area, and the tour of the winery was also very interesting. This has a much more intimate feel to it, and while the choices are slightly more limited than some of the bigger wineries, I feel it is definitely much more scenic and I really loved it here.

Have you been to Santorini? I would love to know what your favourite places to eat and drink were!

  1. Great tips Binny. I loved the look of those prawns. What the casual dining expensive because of the views? I do love sunset drinks with the view. The caldera is gorgeous and Santorini is definitely a place I would visit again.
