My March 2018 Round Up

March has been a rather quiet month for me due to some sad news in our family as we lost a loved one, who was a brave soul, to cancer. Just remember to cherish your loved ones and hold them close to your heart, as well as create lots of lovely memories together.

It was Mothers Day in the UK in March, and I was able to spend it with my mum, which was really nice and also wasn’t planned, so was very fortunate to be with her for it, as well as my aunt, as they were both visiting from Kenya.

What I received this month

I got sent lots of lovely gifts this month and just wanted to share them all with you.

First up was this gorgeous Hamper from Tariettefilled with gorgeous produce from local producers and farms in Provence.

My hamper was filled with Lavender Honey, White Nougat, Dark Nougat, Mint Infused Olive Oil, Chocolate covered Almonds, Chocolate dusted Hazelnuts, Raw Almonds and Tapenade.

Check out their website for more information on the products and hampers they sell.

Next up was a delivery of Shana Parathas with some of their new products such as their Aloo Gobi Stuffed Paratha, Aloo Stuffed Paratha and Mixed Vegetable Stuffed Paratha, all of which have been so delicious and the perfect treat during these colder days paired with a steaming cup of Masala tea.

Shana Parathas

You can find out more about Shana Food’s range here.

I love Iced Mochi and so when Little Moons asked me if I wanted to try their Iced Mochi I said yes of course.

They are all so delicious but I particularly love the Alphonso Mango and the Toasted Sesame flavours.

Find out more here.

Becca, who has an adorable Etsy shop called Zeal and Heart, kindly sent me this gorgeous necklace with the saying “Don’t stop until you’re proud” on it, which she amazingly hand engraved!

If you follow me on Instagram you will know how much I love my quotes and sayings, and this is such a fantastic reminder everyday to stay motivated.

You can visit her shop here to see all of the amazing pieces she has.

What I have read this month

My New year’s resolution was to read more books and I have really gotten into personal development books.

I read ‘You are a Badass at making money’ by Jen Sincero, which I highly recommend, and which you can purchase on amazon.

I also read Worthy by Nancy Levin, which is a book I will re-read from time to time as it really helps with your mindset.

Please note the above two links are affiliate links so if you do decide to purchase these books, would be grateful if you could via my links. Every little helps 🙂

Where I have dined this month

One of my blogging friends Steph is moving to Australia, and so we had a farewell dinner  at Little Social with Aftab, Angie and Steph as well as some lovely drinks at Soho House.

Amit and I also had a date night which started off with some drinks in the Palm Court at The Langham, followed by a lovely meal at Delamina, a new Levantine restaurant.

I also dined at the world’s first restaurant powered by Instagram which was fantastic. The technology is created by Knorr UK, who have devised this clever way of suggesting bespoke dishes based on an Instagram feed and it is called #EatYourFeed.

We headed to the preview of the restaurant to see what dishes would be suggested for us and I got a delicious Chicken and Chorizo Stew, based on a photo from my recent trip to Palma, Mallorca.

If you would like to win a place for a dinner for two at this pop up on April 11, simply visit this website.

I was also back in my favourite building in London, The Shard, dining at Hutong, a restaurant really close to mine and Amit’s hearts, and as always the food was incredible.

We then popped down to Aqua Shard to try the limited edition Easter Cocktail, inspired by everyone’s favourite Easter treat – the Hot Cross Bun. It is a delicious blend of  Hennessey Cognac, Italicus Rosolio di Bergamotto and Mozart Dark chocolate liqueur. The cocktail is then shaken with star anise, coriander seeds, cinnamon, cloves and topped with a sublime caramel sugar nest and chocolate eggs. It was incredible and available till 8 April so try it out!

What’s new this month?

I’ve had my seasonal colour change at Hob Salons Elstree with the fabulous Emma and Alex, and I have gone lighter with brown and caramel tones.

What’s happening in April?

April is going to be a much more busy month as it is my blog’s 3rd birthday as well as our 8th Wedding Anniversary, so we have a few exciting reservations to dine at some places that have been on my list, as well as some of our favourites.

We also have two trips planned, first to Rome for a city break, and then on to Santorini for some relaxation and hopefully some sunshine.

What has everyone got planned for April? I would love to know in the comments section below.

Thanks for reading xx
