A fabulous meal at London Steakhouse Co.

A fabulous meal at London Steakhouse Co.

For me a fabulous meal starts with a Mojito and ends with a Creme Brulee and thats exactly what I experienced at newly refurbished city branch of The London Steakhouse Co, in Liverpool street. The second branch is in Chelsea.

We arrived at the gorgeous restaurant and had the pleasure of having Roxii join us for a drink. I went for a  Mojito (no surprise there), while Roxii and Aftab both opted for Porn Star Martinis. The drinks were incredible and we had a really good catch up.

The ambience in the restaurant, co-owned by Marco Pierre White, is romantic, beautiful and relaxed, and the perfect place for a lovely evening or even a date!

Roxii could only join us for one drink as she had other plans, so Aftab and I decided what to eat for starters from the rather impressive menu.

For starters, I was attracted to the sound of one of the specials – a beetroot and goats cheese salad topped with honey roasted walnuts. Dreamy combination and the perfect light starter to start the meal with. It was so refreshing.

Aftab went for the Beef Carpaccio, which he thoroughly enjoyed judging by the speed in which it was devoured. It was served with parmesan and rocket.

Now being at a Steak restaurant, I would have normally gone for steak for my main course choice. However, when I saw Lobster on the menu I had my heart set on it as it invoked nostalgia about being back home in Kenya, as I was also slightly homesick.

My dish was a half a Scottish Lobster grilled, with herbed garlic butter and served with a helping of parmesan fries. It was seriously amazing. Garlic butter and lobster are a match made in heaven and how I commonly eat it back home so it hit the spot for me.
Aftab went for the Braised Boeuf Bourguignon, which was served with creamy potatoes. He also didn’t go for steak as his main dish and really enjoyed his alternative choice. It was a really good helping and the meat looked really well cooked.

Thoroughly stuffed, but determined, we ordered a Crème brûlée each, and it was seriously amazing. I am so glad I have found a friend who likes Crème brûlées, as it is my favourite dessert and this was just so satisfying and definitely was up there with the best.

The entire meal was delightful and the service was impeccable. If you are looking for a lovely restaurant to enjoy some classic but really well cooked and presented dishes, and delicious cocktails, this is a really good option. The restaurant is stunning and has an air of romance and I know I will definitely be back to try the steak and of course have some more Crème brûlée.

Hi, I’m Binny – a writer, dreamer, serial wanderluster and travel addict. I am originally from Kenya but now live in London. I set up this blog to share my experiences eating out as well as travelling.

I love packing my bags and going off on adventures as one of the best things about travelling is the ability to just get lost in it. To set aside the maps and itineraries and just see where the road takes you, learning and evolving and living in the moment along the way.

It’s my goal to get swept off my feet as often as possible.
