A flavour of Nice at Le Méridien Piccadilly

A flavour of Nice at Le Méridien Piccadilly

One of my favourite hotels in London, Le Méridien Piccadilly has transformed its popular terrace space away from hustle and bustle of central London and brought a little bit of Le Méridien Nice to it.

With deckchairs, parasols and its own Promenade des Anglais boardwalk which leads to a traditional village square complete with a pétanque ground, it is such a lovely summery escapade from the British summer. How cute does it look? Perfect for Instagram!

The bar at Le Méridien Piccadilly is one of my favourites as it is so relaxed, cocktails are amazing and the room is always bright no matter what the weather is like outside. I love the high ceilings and the clear views.

The bartenders at all the Starwood properties are awesome! They make amazing and delicious cocktails.

Sparkling cocktails over summer are inspired by the flavors of the French Riviera and truly add to the experience.

The sparkling cocktails cleverly combine classic French flavours with a few British twists, creating something for all tastes. If you want to indulge in some Fashion Fashion, for £29 you can have a Cocktail Espadrille.

The Cocktail Espadrilles is served with the perfect summer wardrobe staple – a pair of designer espadrilles from Nice-based fashion brand 1789 Cala (*while stocks last).

Nod to the French origins of the brand, you can also play pétanque at Le Meridien Piccadilly. You need a group and it is great fun!

You can also experience a menu of delicious antipasti, created by Le Méridien Piccadilly’s Executive Chef Daniel Ayton in collaboration with Eric Brujan, Executive Chef at Le Méridien Nice.

Menu items are inspired by classic Niçois dishes which include Zucchini Cappucino; Pan Bagnat, a brioche bun with tuna, radish, lettuce and tomatoes; Salade Niçoise with pan-seared tuna steak; Pissaladière, a savoury tart with caramelised onions; and Beef Stew à la Niçoise. Items are priced at £8 or £14 for two.

So if you need a temporary escape this summer Le Méridien Piccadilly is the perfect venue to be transported to Nice and to have a truly enjoyable time in the French way.
