This book, published by Ryland Peters and Small, has over 65 recipes for ways to cook with garlic. How amazing is that?
The book has beautiful photography by Clare Winfield and Jenny’s recipes are written in an easy to follow manner, and really inspire.
The book is split into sections which range from an introduction on the many different types of garlic, to how to prepare and store it, which is very useful. It then goes on to categorise recipes in terms of mellow, sunshine, comfort, fiery, go wild and celebratory.
There are features on garlic for health, garlic folklore, garlic farmers, growing garlic and garlic festivals.
Favourite recipes from flicking through the book so far are Green Garlic muffins, herb and garlic chutney, wild garlic dough balls and smoky garlic baba ghanoush.
There is a good balance of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes.
This is a really fantastic book to have if you have extra garlic and don’t know what to cook, or just to get inspiration. I am obsessed with garlic so this is going to be a good reference book for me.
The book is available from all major bookshops.
