Book Review: Cuban Cocktails, Katherine Bebo

Book Review: Cuban Cocktails, Katherine Bebo

I am a massive lover of Cuban cocktails (hello Mojitos) so when I was sent a Cuban Cocktail recipe book to review, I did what any self confessed Mojito lover would do and make some straight away.

Having visited Cuba myself, I can vouch that the original Mojitos found in Havana, are simply the best. The quality of the rum contributes to the taste and the method in which the Mojitos are made truly add to the final wow factor. It is a rather theatrical experience when you watch the bartenders at play.

This book is colourful, inspiring and educational on all the different Cuban cocktails you can make. Who knew there were so many! The Kingston Cooler is calling out my name next.

The mojito recipe was really simple and easy to follow with clear instructions. The resulting mojito was delicious and was swizzled relatively quickly.

As an added bonus, the book also has some recipes food that goes well with the cocktails. This is great for ideas on food to make if you have a party.

The book is just fabulous. I have been flicking through it and wanting  to try even more of the cocktails so if may see more cocktails on my social media accounts soon. I just love the photos, the super easy recipes and vibrancy it has.

It is published by Ryland Peters & Small and is out on 14th April 2016. It will retail at £9.99, which I think is a fantastic price, and this would make a fantastic addition to a bar or a gift for a cocktail lover.

Definitely going to be a book I refer to a lot!

I love packing my bags and going off on adventures as one of the best things about travelling is the ability to just get lost in it. To set aside the maps and itineraries and just see where the road takes you, learning and evolving and living in the moment along the way.

It’s my goal to get swept off my feet as often as possible.
