Top London restaurant picks for Mothers Day

Mothers Day is on March 6 and if you want some inspiration of where to take your mum in London for a treat here are some ideas.

Lima Fitzrovia

Lima Fitzrovia serves the most beautiful Peruvian food which tastes fantastic too and a fabulous selection of cocktails. Edible flowers make every single dish look pretty and the choices are fantastic.

Cahoots

Treat your mum to a Squiffy picnic at Cahoots where you can enjoy swing music, pre-tend you are in a different era and indulge in fantastic food served in a picnic hamper as well as Gin & Tonics, also served in a picnic basket! The decor is unique and looks like a replica Underground station complete with the same tiles and signage!

What’s not to love?

The Ninth

The Ninth is Jun Tanaka’s 9th kitchen that he has worked in and his solo restaurant. The concept is small plates for sharing, the food is inexpensive and absolutely divine. The cuisine is French-Mediterranean and the decor is sublime.

Despite not being vegetarian, I have to say the vegetarian selection was really good!

Kricket

Does your mum love Indian food?

For fantastic Indian food served inside a shipping container in Brixton, Kricket is seriously a good choice. The food is so impressive and delicious. The cocktails are superb too.

I can’t recommend it enough!

Duck and Waffle

For food with a view from the 40th floor with amazing views of London, choose Duck & Waffle for lunch, brunch or dinner. It is an amazing restaurant and the food is fantastic, especially the waffles!

Chef Dan Doherty’s menu is one that will impress your mum!

About Binny

Hi, I'm Binny - a writer, dreamer and serial wanderluster with a love for Wildlife Conservation. I am originally from Kenya but I now live in London. 'Karibu' to Binny's Food and Travel! I regularly share my experiences eating out, cooking and travelling, both in the UK and globally, as well as educate on the plight of Wildlife. I am an ambassador for World Animal Protection and regularly support the work of The Born Free Foundation, Four Paws and Dreams Come True Charity. I love packing my bags and going off on adventures as one of the best things about travelling is the ability to just get lost in it. To set aside the maps and itineraries and just see where the road takes you, learning and evolving and living in the moment along the way. It's my goal to get swept off my feet as often as possible!
