November Round Up

November Round Up

I can’t believe we are already in December. Where has this year gone?

November was a really really busy month for me as I had my birthday celebrations, Diwali, The Cosmopolitan Blog Awards and a little holiday to Vienna & Lisbon squeezed into it.

So what were the highlights of November for me?

Zebrano City Bar Launch

On my actual birthday I attended the launch party of the new Zebrano in Houndsditch, Liverpool Street. The first Zebrano with a fine dining concept.

There was some great performers, including BEAT, the resident band at The Dover Street Arts Club, and there was cocktails and canapés served all night long.

 Rivea

During my birthday week I also dined at Rivea, at the Bulgari Hotel. It was such a beautiful meal. The cuisine is a mixture of French and Italian and the restaurant concept is the baby of Alain Ducasse.

We had started off with Cocktails at the Bar and then had so many delicious dishes which are pictured below.

The gnocchi was definitely the highlight of the meal and the service was excellent. The bread basket we were given to start off with was addictive and the staff topped it up several times.

Afternoon Tea at Park Tower Knightsbridge

On my friend Michelle’s birthday, 3 of us went for afteroon tea at Park Tower, Knightsbridge.

Highlight for me was this swan made from choux pastry. It was a truly decadent afternoon tea in beautiful surroundings and one I highly recommend.

Curry For Change – Evening of Flavour

I support a fabulous charity called Find your Feet which raises money to help eradicate hunger in Asia and Africa.

They hosted an “Evening of Flavour” to raise funds and I, alongside 2 fellow supporters, Chintal & Tania, were talking about our experiences to interested supporters.

On the evening I had over 100 homemade chocolates for guests to try infused with different flavours and in all shapes and sizes.

Chintal made her signature, beautiful cakes from http://chinskitchen.co.uk. These are incredibly delicious cakes.

Tania from Chit Chaat Chai made flourless chocolate cake with a chai custard. Nom nom nom!

I had also made Apple Chutney so had

 a cheeseboard going.

Diwali

Then we had Diwali and I made these sweets which are called Peda or Penda.

Cosmopolitan Blog Awards
I attended the Cosmopolitan Blog Awards where I was shortlisted for Best For Food and won the Highly Commended Award. It was a super exciting night!

Vienna & Lisbon

I went to Vienna and Lisbon for a mini holiday and highlights for me were the Langos in Vienna (which originates in Hungary), Strudels and Sacher Torte and in Lisbon it was the Portuguese Egg Custard Tarts known as Pastel de Nata.

Starbucks Red Cups

I love red cups season at Starbucks and was so happy when they sent me a Christmas Jumper. So here I am with my jumper and a Toffee Nut Latte.

I also had a major hair colour change so I now have streaks of red and dark purple in my hair.

Up & Go – Breakfast on the Go

It was a crazily busy month so I was grateful for these Up & Go Breakfast on the Go drinks. They have awesome flavours and taste really good. They are also very good for you as they have wholegrain oats. My favourite was the Iced Coffee it was divine.

They are perfect to carry in your bag or take in the car. The other two flavours we tried are Mixed Berries and Banana and Honey. Amit tried the Mixed Berries and he loved it too. They have more flavours available.

Michael McIntyre

Another highlight was at my family Birthday lunch after initially being shy I got a selfie with my favourite comedian who is absolutely lovely and he even cracked a joke for me 🙂

Moose Maple Butter

I love maple flavoured everything so when I was sent some Moose Maple Butter to try I was over the moon. It lives up to my expectations of it and more.

It tastes perfect with breakfast toast, crumpets, rolls, pancakes and waffles. It was so indulgent and a dreamy spread.

The packaging is awesome too as it is in a tub so no messy wrappers in the fridge and it keeps it going for longer. Although I think it is going to finish pretty soon in our household.

As it has such a lovely taste it would probably taste amazing as buttercream icing for cakes too! Imagine it sandwiched between two cake layers mmmm.
It is also perfect for the festive season although I could eat it all year round!

Massis Tea

I tried Massis Tea at a blogger event and they have unique and innovative Tey Lattes with awesome flavours. They are one of a kind and utterly delicious.

I tried Biscuity Butterscotch and Candy Floss. My friend had the Prosecco one.

You must go try them and let me know which is your fave!

November was a fun month and I can’t wait for some new adventures in December.
