My first dining experience at Novikov was with two school friends, from different schools I attended at different times in my life and who just happened to know each other. It really is such a small world.

All of us being massive Asian food fans we chose the Asian restaurant at Novikov. Book in advance to get a table as it gets packed super quickly!

It is based in the heart of Mayfair in a large establishment on Berkley street, a short walk from Green Park.

The dining area is huge and spacious and has a fantastic ambience.

In front of the kitchen area, they have a “market” space with lots of vegetables and seafood lined up. I had to photograph the vegetables!

The menu is very varied and difficult to choose from in a good way! Everything sounds amazing.

We picked different dishes from different sections of the menu, ranging from tempura, hamachi/yellow tail, thai chicken dim sum, shrimp and coriander dumplings, spiced chicken buns, wasabi prawns, kimchi fried rice, spicy tuna sushi and singapore noodles.

We had a lovely bottle of Italian wine to go with it.

The highlights were the wasabi prawns and the yellow tail. Nom nom nom!

For dessert we went for Nutella Cheesecake and Green Tea Creme Brûlée. We had these with tea.

After the meal we were by the bar having one more drink and chilling near the massive crab before heading home.

It was the perfect venue for a catch up or a girls night out. It is also awesome for a celebration or a date.

It is expensive – I would approximate minimum £60 per person. The food is delicious though and the service and ambience are fantastic. If you have a private jet, they do a takeaway menu for that too 😉

I love packing my bags and going off on adventures as one of the best things about travelling is the ability to just get lost in it. To set aside the maps and itineraries and just see where the road takes you, learning and evolving and living in the moment along the way. It's my goal to get swept off my feet as often as possible!
