Summer in Provence #AubaineProvence

All through August, all London branches of  Aubaine restaurants will be celebrating summer in Provence. Perfect if you are searching for a taste and flavour of Southern France in London and want an escape from a busy and hectic day.

Provençal Lavender is the key theme this summer at Aubaine and the summer menu draws inspiration from the lavender fields of the region. The menu has lavender infused cocktails as well as special dishes which complement the characteristic surroundings of the region.

I attended the launch of the summer menu and it was a fabulous event. The aroma of lavender greets you as you walk into the room with beautiful decor.

However, the taste of the lavender infused with the spirits was just sensational and as you can imagine the cocktails were fabulous.

On the day they had a fabulous bar where you could pick the spirit, the mixer and what infusion you wanted. You could then choose the fruits you wanted in the drink.
I tried rum with a lavender infusion and apricots and also a rum with a lemon and thyme infusion. Both were delicious. The flavours of both were subtle and perfect.

The food was fantastic and the menu had a variety of wines to complement the dishes.

The fish and shellfish stew was delicious and moreish as were the crème patisseries.

Known as Tarte Tropeziene, these were little morsels of brioche happiness filled with either pistachio, orange blossom or raspberry crème. They were incredible!

This was a taster of the fabulous menu which will be on offer at Aubaine. If you like Lavender this is definitely a novel way to enjoy it.

I was at the Marylebone branch of Aubaine which was a wonderful, airy, tranquil restaurant tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Baker street. With rustic interiors, fabulous food and a trendy vibe, it is a lovely venue for summer meals.

If you want to try something different this summer would definitely recommend the Summer in Provence menu at Aubaine, preferably with a bottle of French wine.

The menu will be available all through August so go experience it, especially the dessert!
